We will have a different person each Wednesday night tell the story of how God has been at work in their life in transforming ways. There is something powerful about hearing the stories of other Christians and being reminded of the power of God to change lives.

Pam Cope
Find Your Mark

After the sudden death of her teenage son to an undetected heart ailment, Pam Cope found a way to turn her grief into purpose by giving to others. Author of Jantsen's Gift: A True Story of Grief, Rescue and Grace, Pam and her husband Randy Cope are also the Co-Founders of Touch A Life Foundation. This lasting legacy of Jantsen's life now supports at-risk and formerly trafficked children in Vietnam and Ghana, West Africa. In Cambodia, Touch a Life supports long term care and housing for widows, mothers, and orphans stricken by the AIDS virus.

Pam writes, "I personally believe that the cure for any problem in life can be found by serving the suffering. The healing that Randy and I have experienced after losing Jantsen came by the decision to start applying James 1:27 to our lives. This scripture challenges us all to understand what pure and lasting really means. Pure and lasting means to serve those who can never repay you and that is doing real church."

Dave Clayton
Church in a Bar

Dave and Sydney Clayton are on an adventure with God to plant a church in a bar in downtown Nashville - reaching young adults and ministering to the poor. So far 600 are attending. Be careful, their passion for God and people is contagious. They have many exciting stories of what God can do when we step out of our comfort zone and become Jesus to other people.

Jesus said, “Love the Lord your God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength –
and love your neighbor as yourself.” This is the Jesus Creed – his central guidance on how to live life with God.

What if you spent 7 months of your life focusing on and following the Jesus Creed? Imagine the difference living with Jesus every day could make? Join us for the journey at Southwest this fall as we walk together with Jesus every day.  We’ll provide a compass for the journey – and we’ll do it together – everyday – in simple and doable ways that fit into the rhythm of your life. Want to be a real follower of Jesus? Then join us as we commit to take Jesus seriously every day.
